Greetings! by Maciulek

As I finally managed to push a bit of content from my folders right into this anchor account, it becomes something more tangible to the point that it begs for a question: WHY? -that only a few words of introduction can possibly dispell:

-Good few reasons that I can think of at the drop of hat-

a] -taking a year-long break for deviantART made me realise upon returning that the community of that portal became stale, eager to cling onto paths that they burrowed in search of comfort zones. I've noticed that better quantities of inspirational thought, insight and critique could be found on forums of Encyclopedia Dramatica community than across one of the biggest art sites in the history of internet. Many artists that once impressed me with their provess ended up with a monotonous stream of niche artwork with no indication of developement.

That is why I ended up seeking an alternate artistic enviroment as a parallel to my presence on deviantART.

b] -it is so easy to whine about internet-bound communities and fandoms without any relevant experience, right? A few years on the internet was just about enough to teach me that setting up a strict, baseless demarcation, borders and avoidable ground-zero's only limits chances to explore internet to any sufficient degree.

c] -making a first stop at FurAffinity in order to fulfill aforementioned objectives might have been a poorly thought-out move on my turn - I was well-aware that FA was prone to frequent system failures and that the design/layout of the site is something that only belongs in the museum, but Dragoneer's decision to entrust vast site-uplift project to a person with no visible credentials regarding computer technology (but with a visible evidence of destroying previous site-uplift effort - and visible evidence of committing rape on a fellow con-goer - AND negative notoriety stemming from these accusations) indicates that FurAffinity is becoming even less reliable and secure than ever before.

All in all, I'm happy to be here and I hope to see the community of this portal grow and flourish.

Greetings!

Maciulek
