Luckily, Games Workshop seems happy to put a little caveat in the fluff which allows us old curmudgeons to continue calling them Imperial Guard! Today I whipped out all of my painted Cadians in order to get a sense of what I've got to work with come the new book - which should arrive on my doorstep tomorrow, exciting! - and decide where to slot in some new toys. Rather than submit the image here as it's poorly lit and pretty ugly, truth be told, I thought I'd show off what almost seven years looks like in Cadian terms.

Fire support platoon to the left; assault platoon to the right, with supplemental troops and armoured support up the center and rear. The Kasrkin there will be joined by another five man unit and a 'command squad' with a couple of converted Kasrkin, counting as Militarum Tempestus Scions, when they're painted. Two generations of Ogryns represented there, and plans to include a third squad!

The lighting in these pictures is abysmal, which is why my phone camera wasn't cooperating. It's usually pretty good, but under the conditions it just couldn't cope. I'll hope to get something vaguely more impressive, but I had the boys all out and just had to take the chance to get them into parade formation!
