Shawarma, coordinate spaces and depth maps by DeRiften

Whew, I'm tired and my neck hurts. Yeah, so much for the pharmacist calling me today or yesterday; I guess if he doesn't call me tomorrow either I'll just go check myself Monday because now that my headaches are gone, I kinda want my other pains to be gone as well. Oh well, I remembered only yesterday about today's maths homework so all of my morning (and I mean all of it) was dedicated to reading and studying and stuff. My maths homework consisted mainly of 29 pages to read but it's all technical stuff that you have to read multiple times to understand, so I started around 9:00am and finished two hours and a half later. I rewarded myself with some Naan bread and checked some stuff before leaving for my classes. Today's maths class was pretty tough and he tried to fit as much theory as he could within three hours and he said it'd be as rushed and technical as this for the rest of the semester, so fun weeks ahead :V. Between the two classes, though, the computer lab had maintenance so we had to quit. I figured I'd go eat something at the awesome Chinese restaurant I love since I hadn't had time to make supper this morning because of the intensive reading, but it was closed for some reason so I tried out a nearby restaurant that serves middle-eastern stuff, I think. I tried something called shawarma and it was really good but yeah, it shows that this one restaurant's more of a fast-food place since they use pretty cheap ingredients and a LOT of grease. I mean hot dang, even my baclawa was sliding all over the plate and that's a dessert. Plus the rice was pasty and without flavor, but the hummus was delicious and the garlic sauce, even though it didn't taste like garlic at all, made for a good sour cream and accompanied the meat well. Overall a pretty good restaurant and since they give student discounts there, it was worth it. I walked back to the college with one hour to spare, figuring I'd play some PSP but once I got to the cafe, I saw some classmates so we ended up chatting till the class started instead. Practical maths were pretty fun as usual, and this week's homework is to create shading (again, from code) from a 3D image's RGB and depth maps. It doesn't sound too complicated and I expect the results to be pretty neat... plus I have a new library to play with!

Actually... I think I'll stick with Unity3D, I just love that thing much more than C++ :P
