A fellow fur from the El Paso reached out about the radiation leak in New Mexico and confirmed that is was smaller that expected. It came on the heels of a mercury related incident at a local junior high where 60 people were contaminated with mercury. Thankfully no injuries or poisoning occurred, but the cleanup costs are exceeding $100,000 and the school has yet to reopen.

My concern with the leak is that we have family in El Paso and I want them to be ok as well. Just worried about my nephew and the world we are leaving behind for him. Other than that, our teacup Chihuahua had a puppy. He's a beautiful chocolate brown color and is recovering fine after some complication during birth. We unfortunately lost the other puppy who came out feet first and became stuck, but the vets at the emergency clinic worked miracles to save both mother and the other puppy.

So far the little guy is recovering nicely and the mom is taking good care of him while she recovers.
