World Airways, an Atlanta based airline has ceased all operations, the airline was filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, and along with its holding company Global Aviation Holdings, sister airline North American Airlines will continue operations as normal with plans to exit bankruptcy in the near future. North American is a Charter airline using mainly Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. World Airways was formed in 1948, whilst sister airline North American was formed in 1989.
