Okay, no, hold on
So I tried eight million things today.
I rolled back the windows update, I uninstalled the tablet driver, I installed it again, I installed older drivers, I chanted spells to an obscure voodoo spirit and made promises over bloodstone circles, nothin’. My tablet just would not sense pressure. Nada. Zip.
So

for shits and giggles I re-updated windows.

The magic of Windows.
About a month ago Windows 8 (the worst windows of all) released an update that prevented my computer from shutting down or restarting, it would instead hang on any attempt. As it turned out, the patch released some new "feature" that allowed for "faster shutdowns." I disabled this, and my computer was able to shut down like normal.
