Digital coloring help
Im at the point where I am mildly okay with how I ink and draw in itself, though I need a lot of help with backgrounds and dynamic anatomy. This is fine.
But coloring leads me to wanting to curl up and die. Im ashamed of my digital coloring and I’ve tried numerous techniques and none of them fit, and Ive been doing this for awhile and yes I know just draw and draw it will come in time blah blah. But thats besides the point. I would like critique or at least some general comment help in how to fix it, perhaps a better way to shade, what colors to use etc. If anyone is willing to help that would be awesome.
Alright, well I know technique I've grown fond of it the Magic Selection tool, have you tried that?

This is a hard cell shading tutorial, using the magic wand/selection tool. I've watched quite a few artists use this method, it might not be a bad place to start?
You know I struggled a lot with coloring when I was getting use to the tablet. I now do my pieces in gray scale first, then add an overlay layer on top of that and just slather on the color. It doesn't need to be perfect. All you really need to focus on is your gray scale with your lighting and shadowing if you are going to try that out. Then coloring is a piece of cake. If you do want a break down just let me know I'll show you some examples.
