I happened upon a Don't Starve lets-play and it looks even better than what I previously thought so I decided to get it on Steam. It's downloading now haha.
Anyone play or has played it?
Is there anything I should really know?
My Steam is Fishboneface if anyone wants to add me <.<
Yeah I kinda like that it just drops you off in game and says good luck haha but yeah I have a feeling I'm gonna need to look up stuff (I played a little before going to bed last night and I didn't make it through the night ;; couldn't find flint but managed to burn down a forest, then died oops). I kinda like foraging games though so I think I'll like it once I get the hang of it, maybe xD
ohaiagain. i play it occasionally. i'm a big ol' cheater, though, and have a few mods installed to make it easier/less grindy. the ones that are specifically useful to me are the ones that let you stack mats to 99 in your bags and one chop/pick resource gathering. there are TONS of mods on the steam workshop, including custom monster creators and character add-ins. there's also an add-on that makes the game basically a whole new experience (free, of course.) if you like that art style and creative building games you'll enjoy dont starve. it goes on sale pretty frequently, maybe wait till it's only like 6$ and give it a shot then?

I've played it, once, lol. For an LP, though. I haven't gotten around to playing it just for myself yet. Chopping trees is kind of a pain in the ass and you need to chop down trees a lot, that was my biggest annoyance. XD Apart from that, it's... fairly easy to pick up on how to play and stuff, but it seems like one of those where the wiki is your best friend, otherwise you don't really know how most things work or how to make them. Kinda like Minecraft in that regard, haha.
