Turns out things are a little more in the red now: I need to put off saving for a laptop and earn more money so we can find a better place to live. It's part of the reason I opened for commissions.
It's mostly to replace money I spent, but places are more expensive than I thought, so I'm trying to help with that. It'll be pretty hard to buy a place, but I'd rather go that way; after this latest experience with rental, there's no way in hell I'll want another landlord/lady. I'd also love for us to be able to do whatever the hell we want with it instead of waiting for anybody's approval, especially if it seriously needs it.
