I actually have been wanting to do a journal about this for awhile so yeah.

Through the years I have gotten plenty of art of Mids. Some I have on my mini hard drive saved and some of it is up on here. Sadly there is other art that I have lost and can't find at all. Aside from that.... Before I had a really good description to go on the artists in the past had to go on my attempts at telling them how Mids looked along with her bust size and such. The first couple of artists were friends from furcadia who I haven't actually talked to in awhile. One on once in awhile, the other I keep track of on facebook. We don't talk but still...

Now further in.... I started playing on gaia online in 2003 a couple years after being on furcadia, a friend having pointed me to the website and went hunting for artists when I got a good idea how I wanted Mids to look. One artist I managed to get them to draw Mids as a furry but for some reason made Mids look more canine so at four attempts at the artist trying to get the muzzle right I told them thank you and moved along. Might have been somewhere in 06 maybe. Not entirely sure, but I actually had a well written description for the artist to go on, and they finished and showed me...when I pointed out that they got things wrong, that they didn't go by the description I had provided, they pretty much yelled at me for it, bit my head off for it so I backed off and never bothered with attempting to get art from people on gaia after that.

Come furcadia at some point when I hung out in an adult rp area a friend and artist drew up Mids and again, things were off in the art and when pointing it out...she wasn't the one to tell at me, but one of her little puppy-dog fanboys, though she was fine with me pointing that out. It was never altered though so..Strike 2 in attempts in getting an artist to do something right.

Now move onto FA fully. had verious arts of Mids. Despite the description being easy to go off of it took awhile to actually come across an artist who actually got Midnight Star right. Enter wom-bat. He actually drew Mids for awhile and got her right, then I tried using the ref he made to try and get more art that would match what he did up....Didn't always work. Not going to name the artist here because she has a lot of fanboys and girls but the star gem on Mids forehead? She made it like a flat tattoo, and when I pointed out it was a gem all she did was add a black outline for the star. I didn't bother in another attempt to try and get her to draw it right because of the first two incidents of pointing that out making me shy and leery of doing so.

For awhile I went with what was drawn up despite the ref sheets I had for them to go on, even updated refs that didn't seem to work much. Despite how clear it was of what Mids looked like.

Enter Einom in 2012. I noticed my friend Sled had actually grabbed an art from him and looked through his gallery and figured I would give him a try and...oh damn. He was, and still is, awesomely patient which I will forever be thankful for. The very first time I got him for the "Come at me I dare you." art he showed me the sketch first, then the flats to make sure things were right before going on to color it fully. Grabbed him two more times for the next two arts and this is pretty much why I get him now more than any artists because of his patience, his making sure he gets things right before going on.

Also because I have gotten used to his patience. There is still that lingering fear that if I try and get another artist to draw a thing involving Mids and/or her daughter that they might not be as patient as Einom.
