I should give an intro, shouldn't I? by Laarc
Hello there! I guess I'll turn this into a quick introduction of myself because aside from a teeny bit of info on my profile I haven't said much yet, haha. The atmosphere on Weasyl is very pleasant so far and I'm enjoying it a lot!
The name's Casey and I'm a recent college graduate with a bachelor of science in biology! Biology is my life's biggest passion; I have a deep love and appreciation of life and its sheer complexity. My fascination extends to wanting to understand exactly how all living beings function on the smallest levels: metabolism, cellular respiration, enzyme regulation, all of that. There's a good reason as to why my focus was in molecular biology! Academics aside I love nature as a whole, especially marine animals and arthropods. I'm the type of person whose dream pets include hissing roaches, scorpions, and tarantulas haha.
As an artist I'm entirely self-taught and started to take my art seriously around the age of 14. At first I drew a lot of influence (too much, honestly) from things such as Digimon and Final Fantasy, but as time went on I tried to formulate my own style. I still have a long way to go and I am always learning, but I do feel as though my recent art has a consistency that wasn't present in my earlier work. That's a big step in the right direction, I think. C:

Foods/drinks: ALL seafood (but especially sushi and sashimi!), rice, tomatoes, pasta, fruity cocktails but especially mojitos, screwdrivers, and margaritas

Biology has always been my huge thing, I started at a young age! It means a lot to me and I think anyone can appreciate it. :D Marine animals are the coolest!
YESSSS Ace Attorney is so great and I love meeting fellow fans! I've been a fan for years now and I should really replay a few of the earlier games in the series. Pokemon fans are all over, yeah, but it's hard to find other AA fans! They're just so fun to play aaah
I love everything that Satoshi Kon's done, but Paranoia Agent might be my favorite! I don't watch anime myself these days either, though; unless a series appeals to me a lot I won't stay interested in it. The last anime I watched was Attack on Titan/SnK last summer because a lot of my friends liked it, I ended up really enjoying it! Monster is probably my all time favorite, but I still can't be sure. ;;

YES! They're amazing. Usually I'm not a fan of anything similar...but there's something about the twists and turns to the stories that keep you hooked, and some of the characters (Oldbag lol) just make you laugh all the time. XD

Cool! I find biology interesting though I've never formally studied it so I don't know that much, heh. I love marine animals too, though!
Also, ACE ATTORNEY, yessss. They would have to be my favourite DS games, and I'm currently replaying them on iPad! (I'm near the end of the first game at the moment.) I like Pokemon too but so do lots of people ha ha, it's much rarer to find other Ace Attorney fans!
Paranoia Agent is great too! I was actually thinking I should rewatch it soon, but I never seem to find much time to watch anime these days. =|
