What is your real name?

Gary Lee

How tall are you?

6 feet if I don't slouch

What's your natural hair color?
Graying auburn

What's your eye color?
Hazel usually

What's your orientation?

Gay but very reserved

Are you single, taken or undecided?

Taken

What do you do in your spare time?

Pets take up a lot of it. We have three horses, two dogs, four ducks, and assorted fish at the moment. Music is important, and I play keyboard and wind instruments. Electronics, computers, reading, sewing, weaving, spinning, knitting, cooking, baking, fursuits, art, and writing compete for the rest.

What's your job or occupation?

Librarian

What do you like about yourself?
I'm good at problem solving. Other animals usually like me. I learn things fast.

What do you dislike about yourself?

Procrastinator at times, often too quiet, tend to miss opportunities.

What did your friends notice about you when they first met you?

I'm not much to look at but I do know a lot of things.

What is your belief/religion if you believe in anything at all?

Buddhism comes closest. I have a degree in religion and actually attended seminary for a while, but life experience has convinced me that Christianity is a sham at best.

Do you drink?

Wine and cider mostly and very moderately. I don't like being intoxicated.

Do you smoke?

Never. Everyone else in my family did, I always hated it.

What are your major fears?
Fire, suffocation, and death by vehicular mishap.

Do you have any dreams or goals?

More time for my own interests, less restriction caused by employment or others' schedules.

Have you ever had a crush or an ex?

Crushes? Sure. It's a constant affliction for gay males especially. Ex-what? Yes, I've been through relationships that dissolved and it hurt a lot, but all of those were long, long ago. I've been mated for 32 years now, and don't expect any changes.

Who's your best buddy?

My life mate.

What's your favorite dish?

Easier to name a few that I dislike than the many I do.

What's your favorite drink?

Iced tea, probably.

What's your favorite color?

I tend to favor blues and greens.

If you had a super power, what would it be?
Fixing broken people who have no empathy for those unlike themselves.

What's your favorite movie?

Movies are not a big thing to me. Balto 2: Wolf Quest is one I particularly liked. Spirit, Stallion of the Cimarron was very good too. As a kid I was really taken with Toby Tyler. But ask me about books and you'll have difficulty shutting me up.

What's your least favorite food?

Popcorn. I could never see the point of it. I am also unattracted by chocolate.

What do you drive and what would you really like to drive?

Ford Escape (2007.) I enjoyed a Jeep Cherokee in the past but was disappointed in its reliability level. Most of the cars I've owned have been Volkswagens. What would I really like to drive? Probably an old farm wagon with two big draft horses to pull it, assuming I have to drive something. I'd rather ride horseback, or take a train really. (And I hate airports and flying with a passion.)

What is your most disliked bug?

The mosquito. Flies are a close second.

What pet peeves do you dislike the most?
Tea party republicans. Arrogant rich people. Noise.

What do you dislike in life?

It isn't long enough to do half of what I'd like to do.

What do you love in life?

Nature: wildlife, trees and grasslands, mountains, oceans, lakes and streams. Wild weather.

Some nice answers there. I did not know you hasted airports as much as I do

I last flew on a commercial passenger line in 1979 and will never do it again. I'm certainly not willing to put up with the suspicious treatment everyone gets these days. I have flown in a couple of small private planes since then, but would just as happily skip that experience as well. I'm not in a hurry and I hate being around high pressure people who think they are important and in a rush. I really dislike being treated like part of a herd of cattle, which is the commercial airline experience in my opinion.

If I want to visit places outside Europe I have little choice. But it is not something I relish. I can imagine it has got a lot worse since 79 too.

They rifled through your luggage even in 1979, and made you walk through metal detectors so sensitive that a wrist watch or belt buckle made alarms go off as if you were carrying a submachine gun. But yeah, it's much worse now. I once thought I'd like to see parts of Europe and even Australia, but I've abandoned that line of thinking. Not worth it to me. Now that they refuse to allow musical instruments on board or in checked luggage, I can't imagine how professional musicians deal with travel.

The commercial air travel industry is not a service, it's a greedy, irresponsible despoiler of the environment and a racketeer that takes whatever it wants from the "customer." I refuse to support it.
