I'm not one for making huge personal journals, or really journals at all, but I felt the need to share this because I'm really excited about it!

For the past week or so I've been doing fraternity rush at my school with Delta Lambda Phi. Originally wasn't going to do it though because I was afraid I just wouldn't fit in as well and the events were kind of late at night for me, however one of the Brothers really wanted me to at least try and make it to one of their events so I made the conscious effort to get rides did actually wound up going to the last three they had. Most fun I've had on campus in awhile.

Everyone I met and talked to was really nice and respectful and just generally made the new members feel welcome overall (there was only one other person rushing that I know of). And I could tell they were trying their best to remember pronouns.

This is actually pretty big for me though. It's really one of the first times since I started my transition that I guess you could say I've actually had my identity validated. And not even so much the pronoun usage because that's only a piece of it, but it's more like I felt like I was supposed to be there. It felt great.

So with all that being said, I just got my letter today saying I've been invited to actually pledge to the fraternity. Really looking forward to becoming a Brother though. u w u

tl;dr: I've been really busy with school the past few weeks and also I'm gay. :v
