This is the only time I should mention this.
Add Friend is for adding friends I know. So if I Ignore you it's nothing personal against you.
Only keeping the Friend List as it's intended to be, and not have randoms I don't know on it.

I use Skype quite a bit, but I feel less inclined to add people there as I quite often get a lot of people adding me but never talk to me, or have very little of interest of things to say to me like;
"hi
hi
what you up to?
not much
same"conversations that start and end like that, makes me less likely to have someone on my contacts list if you know what I mean. ^^
Finding a common interest to talk about is a good way of keeping good interactions. :3-
I totally understand how annoying that can get.

It seems like everyone (including me) has had to say this. Perhaps Weasyl should better communicate what the Friend button is intended for?
(one theory that makes sense is people want access to the secret art we may or may not have)-
I suppose taking a suggestion to the development on the forums to voice your opinions about it will help so they can improve it. Forums will be the on;y place where you can discuss development of the site and provide improvements and suggestions. :3
