To my followers... by Junga

Thank you for following me. I understand that some of you are followers from other websites, and others are very new. Either way, I want all of you to get the best from following me. Those of you who followed me previously know me as someone who draws adult art. I wish to start new here and get rid of that reputation.
Now I must ask you, what are you interested in? What do you wish to see more of? I am open to all suggestions, and would love to hear your opinions. :)

To my followers...

...it's funny cause. I'm honest about my age on art sites. And... I'm 17. I had NO idea you did that kind of art XD

but now that I hear that you're wanting to get rid of that reputation, I'm thrilled!

    To be fair, I think there are too many adult artists ^_^;;

    • Link

Well, tbh I don't mind most of it. I will continue to draw tasteful nudity and intimacy and stuff, but some of it goes too far. I'm not against it, I just don't want to be known as someone who does nothing but that, you know? Also some of it kinda does gross me out a little. I have standards, STANDARDS.

      • Link

hey, I'm alright with that c: I just... I'm not a huge fan for some over the top stuff.

        STANDARDS ARE MY FAVORITE COLOR

        • Link

          MINE TOO.

          • Link

(also this isn't blocked at the school I'm so happy I can actually do my senior project on fursuits and have ONE site not blocked ;u;)

            • Link

I forget that senior projects are things. I didn't have to do one in high school. And holy crap I remembered that every single freaking website was blocked at my highschool.

              • Link

                guess what's blocked on here?
                EVERYTHING
(wow I'm taking over your comment thread I'm so sorry but I'm in animation class right now and I'm happy cause I have the class to myself ;u; )

                • Link

Animation class? Holy cramp that's cool. We def don't have anything like that around here.

                  • Link

                    HOLY CRAMP

and well... there WAS an animation class, but no one could get stuff done because no one worked hard enough

that's what independent studies are for~
because I've gained the teacher's trust, I literally start my 6th period by entering an empty photography classroom, plug my headphones in, and get down to business.

                    it's all self initiated c:

                  *crap, not cramp.

                  • Link

I like cramp better. If you don't mind, I'm gonna take that on from you XD.

                    holy leg cramp, that's funny

                    • Link

                      Holy ovary cramps, batman!

Okay, so I'll talk about the journal it's on this comment :P

First of all, it's cool to hear that your turning a new leaf. I never saw your previous art, so I don't know what kind of previous adult work you made. None the less though, I'm glad to hear that your trying to make a new portfolio for yourself. Change is good my friend.

Well, I think you can get by with tasteful nudes and keep a reputable name. In fact, I think it would be nice to see some nudes from you, because from what I see in your weasyl portfolio, it seems like you have a decent understanding of anatomy. It would be cool to see things like natural poses, and more realistic anatomy; a nice refresher from the anatomy exaggeration and glorification that this random sees so often. And maybe nude things that are relaxed, like a guy enjoying a house to himself, or a gal enjoying a book, or maybe a life drawing class setting; things that people normally do naked, and not just looking sexy every time cloths are off, ya know.

Or maybe just some real life things, It's always so cool to see art of anthro. characters doing what we do in real life. I mean, I know that the fandom is just a fuzz fantasy, but it makes it that much more enjoyable when there is furry art that is relateable to. Drinking at a cafe, working at a job one enjoys, or other things that we enjoy and don't think much of. Or not so normal things, like sky diving, bull riding, or riding bikes down the hills of Valparaiso Chile. Okay, I'm going too far.

I'm just trying to say that it would be cool to see renderings and concepts of the life WE live, rather than just a bunch of fantasies.

Underground inspired art is always cool too :3.

But yeah, I like furry art that is a little more down to earth. Seems like the fandom is so busy beating the same subjects and idea's, that sometimes it's easiest on the eyes just to see something that is more believable... besides the fact of the characters being anthro. XD.

Sorry if this is too long winded. You asked for an opinion and I took advantage of it XD. None the less though, these are just ideas, I hope you don't take this a comment of me hoping you'll draw something I want. I'm just simply giving my two cents, 'cause for all I know, the idea's I gave might be things you find super boring XD.

And a question for you. What do you think of weasyl so far?

    • Link

I'm actually okay with nudes. I just won't be drawing furries goin' at it, you know? I find furries doing everyday things interesting, too. So I might play around with those ideas. I actually doodle Junga doing things like knitting and drinking coffee in my school notes.
I actually really like weasyl. I like the interface and atmosphere here. Some of the meaner people stayed on FA. And Weasyl doesn't look like a shady porn like FA did. I'm actually okay with browsing here in public. I like the folders option for organizing work. And. And. It's not bad hehe. I just wish that more people I'm following posted more. They still frequent FA and it makes me sad because they're kinda straying away from here again.

  • Link

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you are. I don't tell people to stop drawing what they do (what am I to dictate what people want to make), or make a fuss over seeing pictures of other furries and the porn stuff; but it can get old sometimes. I mean, there is nothing wrong with porn, but there is so much of it that it just gets boring after a while... And then there is the scary stuff XD.

Yeah, I am liking this site more than FA so far. It feels more organized and it's cleaner in the way the website is built. There are still some pros and cons, but I favor this place a little better. And it is a bummer that people are trickling back to FA. It's funny how people have gotten excited about this place, and then slowly fade back to FA. It's just kind of hard to compete with the level of users and the time that the site has been up to build it's reputation.

Oh, another idea to share, your painterly style is nice, it would be cool to see style like that.

    • Link

Could you show me an example of what you mean?

      • Link

Well, I guess I should say things that look more traditional are interesting; I mean, painterly things look cool, like this one. but as a whole, I think pieces that look traditional, or even better, things that are traditional, like this, are really neat. But I also know that traditional pieces can take some time, especially one that are as detailed as that skeleton. So it would be cool to see traditional, but I can also understand if the turn off for traditional. I enjoy doing traditional art myself, and I know it's not always the most convenient media.

        • Link

I like to use traditional media, but sometimes I don't feel like dragging out all of my pencils and paper and get comfortable and have to put everything back and ugh.. I'm just lazy haha. But I love painting and drawing. Most of the traditional things are from classes, though I draw in my sketch book all the time. It's just super easy and convenient to draw on the computer.
