Collections vs. Double-Posting by Paraffine

So, while everybody takes their time to settle in, we can have a look at this nifty "collections" feature. When a commissioner gets an image from an artist, they now have two choices. Ask the artist for a collection-request, then the commissioner can accept said request and the original image will show up in the commissioners collection (and the commissioners followers will be notified), but it would still be the one the artist uploaded. Like a symbolic link.
Or, they can do the old double-posting thing, like on the other sites.

I've given this a bit of a thought. I'm usually all for "keeping things tidy" and "preventing redundancy" and keeping everybody's inbox as uncluttered as possible. So, this seems like a good feature, right? But, there is a drawback. I like to add a bit of text to my settings, may it be flavor text or a description or praise for the artist. Can't do that on a Collected image (as far as I can see). You could do it as a regular comment, but it's not the same, as a lot of people don't bother reading the comments at all and just read the text below the submission (if, at all).
Also, collections only work with people, that are here on Weasyl, while the "art done by $ARTIST" works for WS, FA and all these from here. So, there's that.

So, either keep it nice and non-redundant, or be able to add text. Tough decision. Don't have a definite answer for that yet. The artist put all the work, time and effort into it, so I try to make sure, they get all the praise and feedback and everything. But, I also like to have my characters "in my gallery". Strange as that sounds.

So, for now, I'll probably keep on doing the double-post thing, until I've come up with a better solution.
Anybody has opinions on that, that they want to share with me?
