Well. That's a lot of new followers over the weekend I was at Further Confusion. How many of you are planing to pretty much quit visiting Furaffinity now?
Dunno if I'm going to bother porting over my old art. Is there any kind of batch copy tool that can backdate stuff? I really don't want to spam the front page with a ton of stuff from the last ten years, or have the few things I've drawn since getting on Weasyl get buried under that. Especially given that I only draw standalone images like every third month nowadays; the comic takes up most of my time.

That's definitely not the copy tool I want; it requires a browser I don't use, can't backdate stuff, and requires me to copy every single image by hand.
There's also this which doesn't require anything but Python and can apparently drag a whole gallery across, but I'm not sure it can backdate stuff. Hard to tell and I don't feel like fucking around with installing it until I'm more recovered from FC.

That sounds really nice. You should signal boost it. This is the first time I've seen anyone mention that gallery manager. A LOT of folk are boosting waxpost, likely because it's the only thing they are aware of. And yea, I don't (normally) use chrome either. But if I had a large gallery to migrate, it's an option that is available, and I would consider it..
As for backdating things. You should talk to Weasyl staff about that on the forums. I doubt it's much concern to them. I've never heard of a website honoring or caring about letting a user edit dates on submissions (and likely for a few good reasons) and it's purely cosmetic on the user end. If you want to date your submission, you can always include that in the description or tags.

I found that migration tool by looking at projects.weasyl.com, where they linkto Waxpost and the FA follower copier as well.

Oh, I get it. While on any of the other websites, it brings up an icon to click, to transfer submissions right over here.

Nah the backdate feature isn't something you can really do unfortunately.
Everyone is just kind of posting only their really nice stuff, and then just posting new work here. Porting over an entire gallery is kind of pointless, basically for the same reasons you've just put down. Its a new start for everyone!
