Random bands/Composers: Led Zepplin, David Bowie, Mika, Gorillaz, STRFKR, Edward Shapre and the Magnetic Zeros, Asgeir Trausti, Moses Hightower, Purity Ring, Modest Mouse, Portishead, Krysztof Penderecki, Johannes Brahms, Pytor Tchaikovsky, Claude Debussy, Franz Liszt, Georges Bizet, Frederic Chopin and Zbigniew Preisner
Very much atmospheric sorts. Lustmord did an album that was largely inspired by Tarkovsky's Stalker, for example. Basinski works on subtle variations and loops in a lot of his works.

Ooooo, they sound good. And for the record, not all of my music is moody. Passion Pit, Mika and Edward Shapre are like the complete opposite of this stuff but I still love them. But, thanks for the recommendations, I'm listening to Lustmord right now and I'm getting goose bumps :3

There's some great moody stuff in there. I'm guessing you are, but I'll ask if you've listened to much Lustmord or William Basinski anyway.
