Moving blues, BPD returning, and COMMISSIONS!!!! by Lizzie Bean

First Journal Entry Here! A huge hello to old watchers joining me from FA, as well as new folks who've just discovered me. :D Apologies to the later as this entry is mostly for folks wondering "where the heck has she been the last few months", but I've got some stuff in here for you guys too, don't worry. :)

Anyway, I thought I should give you guys a heads-up as to what has been going on. Some of you may or may not have been aware that my lease at my former house ran out in mid-November, and my hope at the time was that I would have an apartment lined up in NYC to move into with 2 friends of mine (though one of those friends has in the meantime became my boyfriend, but I'LL SPARE YOU THE GUSHING). Unfortunately, without going into details, that hunt has been pushed back and delayed and inhibited in multiple ways, so for the last 2 months or so I've been forced to stay at my mother's house until we can find a permanent spot. 90% of my belongings are currently in boxes, stacked semi-precariously in one half of the garage. This includes (among other things) some commissions I'd been working on right before the move, almost all of my store products (excluding stickers), my scanner, and all but my most-used drawing supplies. It's put a real damper on my work-flow, and caused some work to progress far slower than I would have liked. I AM working as best I can, but it's hard when you're living out of a suitcase in your mother's guestroom/office. ;^_^

One of those projects though - once I can get around to it - is a revitalization of BPD, with a full-color story that I'm expecting to be at least 30 pages long (though possibly more!) It'll be released all at once in PDF form once it's 100% done, so no waiting weeks for one-page-at-a-time story progression. Ideally all future comics will be done this way, with the request that if you enjoy what you read that you send a donation pledge for whatever amount you choose (if you're familiar with the "Welcome to Night Vale" podcast, I'll most likely be mimicking their model very closely). So you can read the comics for free, but if you want to support me, your sponsorships & donations are appreciated. :) This of course is on a VERY slow progression until I'm able to get my move finalized, but I figured I would reassure those of you who are interested that YES, BPD is coming back! Not in the same form or the same schedule, but IMO the new format will mean better stories with better quality, and a more enjoyable experience for you.

Lastly, I just want to let those of you who are curious know that my commission queue is open for new work! Progress won't be as quick as it normally is, but I'll try to be as open as possible to any inquiries as to how their stuff is going. Also, if you have a specific due-date in mind, so long as it's reasonable ("I NEED THIS 9 CHARACTER FULL COLOR GROUP SCENE DONE BY 8AM TOMORROW OK?!?") I will absolutely work with you to make sure it's done on time. If you have any questions, want to request a commission, OR if you have work-in-progress with me and want to check on the status, email me at LizardbethArt@gmail.com! Sometimes takes a couple days, but I promise I'll get back to you. :)

Hmm.... I think I hit all the important notes. I am SUPER appreciative of your patience and understanding while I get life-things back in order, and I look forward to being able to really get back into the swing of Art things. ^_^ Huzzah!

WHEEE BPD is coming back! Hang in there when you move, for some reason you keep going NORTH ... into colder territory. Eventually I expect you are going to end up in Canada so i'll keep the basement bedroom open for you when you eventually come to this realization. YOu can use it until you find an apt/house up here.

NYC isn't that north compared to NJ! ;) Still, if the US keeps going on the steady bell-curve decline it's been on for at least a decade and a half, Canada might not be a bad alternative. It'd just have to be in a REAL state of shit for me to be able to handle the cold. And the moose. I hear you have mooses.... moosies.... meese.... BULLWINKLES.
