Tooth problems... by Poifish

Ick. So one of my fillings came out. It was always sort of loose so it doesn't exactly hurt but.. it is worry some. I don't want to need another root canal. I already need one on a tooth in which my nerve has died/been damaged. And the tooth next to it had a root canal a few years ago. Q < Q

Need to save up money for dentist. I'm going be putting up commission info soon. Need money. cries

EEK! I know that feeling dude ;w; just the thought of having to get a root canal disturbs me, only cause Im probably going to be needing one as well @.@

Uh. I just have dentophobia so I get anxious with tooth problems in general. But my root canal was painless. My last dentist was very kind about my troubles and I didn't feel anything so if your dentist isn't courteous to your worries and pain, they're not a good dentist. My problem really is that I have no insurance anymore as I'm over 18 now. So I have to pay for treatment and we're tight on money.

Oh shit im sorry hun! I did not know of this! I really hope the dentist you get is really aware and takes great care of you!
And I used to have one who would make sure I didn't feel anything! But I think he retired ;w; so im not only sad but intimidated on getting another to help me out!

And ugh money issues, I know that feeling!

Sadly that type of thing has to be by trial and error. My first dentist actually caused my need for my first root canal. He uncovered my nerve and damaged it trying to just fill it. But I know I can't really do much more than try and find good dentists. My last dentist was someone who had dentophobia too and that's why he became a dentist was to make sure people didn't feel pain and discomfort during procedures. He was a cool guy. I think a lot of the younger dentists are a bit more understanding in terms of nerves. But I haven't gone through more than 2 myself.

Ugh...yeah Im so sorry hun, my first one almost made me punch her, she literally didn't listen to me when I told her she was going too hard!
Sadly at the time I was only 15, and my mother was like, get it done and over with, no matter the pain! I hated that doctor so much that I convinced my mother to find a new one! =_= Last one I had was kind, and would stop and wait until I was ready to continue!

I have gone through at least 3 to 4 dentists just to find the right one. I have to agree, the younger generation is more understanding, and patient at that!

You don't have to apologize. It's been like 3 years and the dentist had been old and retiring. I'm just thankful his replacement was a good dude who took care of my actual root canal. And other than some residual pain from extreme temperatures that tooth is fine now.

Still just the thought makes me shudder!
And thank goodness the new guy took care of you!

Well...I hope you can get some money for your next visit! I need to do the same!
