COMMISSIONER BEWARE - LianeR by blackantlers

Obviously by looking at my front page I had a Hell of a time dealing with this person.
I don't know if this is better suited for some sort of community post but they put me through enough stress already and I really don't need that now.
I'm not sure what else to add other than that they are just troublesome and unpleasant.

Thanks for the beware. I don't get people like that, honestly. That's just downright harassment. The piece you did for them was beautiful in my opinion - I would have jumped with joy, had it been art I commissioned.

I hope you will continue uploading here though, just ignore them and move on. (I still enjoy your art, even if my activity and comments are nowadays rather scarce.)

thanks, just thought people should be aware of, hopefully this community has more mindfulness :P

I'm inclined to very respectfully disagree, at least in a way. I've worked with RF/Liane before, and she's the kind of customer who minds deadlines, and usually has a pretty clear idea of what she wants. She's firm and we've had a minor quibble or two in the 5+ pieces I've done for her, but she's never been a problem for me, and if you don't mind working with someone like that, she's a good customer.

But still, sometimes things don't work, and tensions are raised. Best to have a cup of tea, and keep going, or take some time to find your center and inspiration again. I know a bad experience can wear on the nerves.

Well, my mistake was not writing a ToS obviously, and I'm not the type to work with rather, erm, demanding and specific commissioners due to the nature of my work. Communication was a matter that was unclear beforehand, and likely didn't look at my gallery since my work is far from what they typically commission. I just don't have the time for unmindful and inconsiderate people. Either way, time to write a ToS. :P

A TOS is the ultimate this-situation-sucks saver, let me know if you need a hand or just need someone to look over it for loopholes. I've been freelancing since I was 13, so if there's a way to screw someone over, you can bet I learned from it the hard way.

Thank you for your heads up, and for encourage an open dialogue here to boot, especially considering past bad experiences.
