Eyy, I'm not dead yet! But since I pulled something in my shoulder two weeks ago while helping my mom take down the Christmas decorations, I've been taking pills everyday and my left arm's been permanently numb for four days now; musta pulled something in that shoulder too. When I was 16 (yes I know, everything that's bad happened when I was 16; it wasn't a good year), the same thing happened and I lost most of the strength in my left arm, which never fully came back. Also since then, my arm's been easy to numb; I can't lay on it or sleep on my side or I'll wake up with a billion needles in it. So now that it's happening again, I hope the side effects won't be this bad again.

Add to that the fact that I called my credit card company two weeks ago 'cause my card's expiring this month and I haven't received my new card. They said they had mailed it to my old address so I called my landlord to ask him to mail me all the mail I received up to January 1st so when I received it yesterday, my new card wasn't in there.

I called the company again to tell 'em I never received my new card after all, so they tell me "okay we'll cancel your card right now to prevent potential fraud and you'll receive your new card within five to seven days" and I'm like "wait what? No wait till at least next week before cancelling it, I need it this week since I'm going to Montreal and I've gotta pay for gas, food, hotel and stuff" and they go "too late, it's already cancelled" so my mom and I are like godammit what the hell are we gonna do.

So she tells me to go on the website to print my transactions receipt so she can get the insurances to reimburse her asap but the card being cancelled was immediate there too so my account's completely empty so I phoned 'em again. Two weeks ago when I called 'em the first time, I told 'em I needed the receipt so they said they'd mail it to me before the 17th so they told me they had mailed it on the 16th and that I'd receive it next week, which means we can't count on the insurance money to arrive on time for the trip either.

So the only option we have is to borrow my grandma's credit card. Good job, credit card company, your way of dealing with potential fraud has a ridiculously high chance of nearly ruining someone's life.
