I've gotten a little more privacy with the the semester starting spell of business that has most hands tied and I'm taking advantage of it to press my advantage (the one of no one coming in and looking over my shoulder while I'm trying to draw)

I spent several hours on a ... not exactly quick doodle (I can't help it, I'm kind of OCD) and am moderately pleased with the results. I need to step it up though and this is only the first step. I owe one commission and have a prospective customer anxious to hear of me opening again. As soon as I get a finished product under 6 hours total work-time (average) and get my dues taken care of I WILL be opening.. so if you're one of those hopeful folks keep your eyes open.

In other news it's bleedin' cold. We've been making good use of our wood burning stove and as soon as I'm done writing this I'll be going out to fetch more wood. The new year hasn't exactly started off as dreamily as one could imagine but I have to keep my chin up and make the best of it. Likewise I will all my followers well, new year's resolutions or no!
