It has come to my attention that my computer is a piece of shit.

I know that a lot of my pieces have some detail issues, but the reason I stop working on these pieces when I do is because my computer literally can't handle any more work being done on them. I know there's the trick of closing and reopening SAI, but that barely works enough to say that it did anything to help at all. I've restarted my computer and closed other programs that suck up my resources and done everything I can to keep working on these pictures, but it still ends up at the point where I just can't do any more. And I'm running SAI, which, compared to other art programs, is not very resource intensive at all. When I finally stop working on a picture is when it's to the point where SAI goes unresponsive for several minutes at a time when I just save the piece.

I know that some of you who consider yourselves tech savvy will just tell me to upgrade my graphics, but I'm on a laptop, so opening it up to replace things myself would void my warranty, which is something I'm clinging to for dear life. On top of that, the only graphics cards I can find that are less expensive that an entirely brand new computer are worse than the graphics card I currently have, so that would just put me out several hundred dollars and I would have an even more useless computer on which to draw.

To clarify for anyone who thinks it's my lack of RAM - my boyfriend has a rather high end desktop with a spectacular graphics card. For a long time, he had 32x, which gave him access to only 2 gigs of RAM, whereas I have access to all 6 gigs on my laptop, since I run 64x. Before he upgraded to 64x, I could do a hell of a lot more RAM intensive things on my laptop than he could on his desktop, but he could still work on 10,000x10,000 pixel images with no problem, whereas my laptop struggles with something 1/10th that size. Game-wise, I can't even run Minecraft at the lowest possible graphics. I even used the mod where everything is flat colour and there's no shading at all, and I still couldn't top 7 frames per second. It's not my RAM, it's my graphics card.

So, I'm just posting this to remind everyone that commissions are still open. I'd like to be able to do more art, not to mention better art for you guys, but with this computer, I just can't do it.

I AM going to continue to do the pictures I need to do, and I'm currently setting up to do some sketches right now, and if I do get some more commissions, I will absolutely do those to the best of my ability.
