1.) Name the one thing/element you think helped you "get better" the best? (This could be anything from a technique, to a teacher, to an epiphany etc!)
Practice, lots of it. Drawing from life and doing photo studies.

2.) Do you feel that you're confident "drawing in the round"(Ex: Able to draw a character in a convinceable 180 degree turn-about-sorry this question is here because it's what I struggle with the most!) ? If you are comfortable(-even a little bit) what do you think helped you the most? What sort of exercises helped you the most?
i am confident drawing in the round, yes. Learning to try to see 2D objects in a 3D space helps a lot - trying to picture your subject as a living thing or real object rather than a 2-dimensional image. Practicing drawing from life or photos, then drawing the same object from another angle, helps immensely.

3.) What REALLY inspires you the absolute most/best?
It depends on my mood. Other people's work, music, random thoughts, it's hard to say what works the most or best.

4.) Why DO you draw?
Because i enjoy it, and because i'd go crazy if i didn't.

5.) Do you believe that anatomical study is important or do you feel it is overrated or gets in the way of style?
Definitely very important. You can't develop a solid style until you know the rules that can be broken. You must have fundamentals down before you can expand.

6.) Is having a unique/recognizable style important to you?
Not particularly. i like to play around a lot. i'm told my style is very recognizable, but i don't know what it is. XD

7.) If you do have a style, can you look back in your learning process and think of the elements that influences it the most?
i tend to pick up things from other artists - i like that, let's try that. That looks good, maybe we'll test that out. Etc.

8.) How do YOU, personally break art blocks? (if you even have them!)
Drawing gift or fan art always seems to break an art block - anything that reminds me of how much i love to draw and such.

9.) What do you think makes a successful artist? (Hard working? Productive? Skill level?)
Determination and practice. A certain stick-to-it-iveness is very important. You just gotta keep going and keep at it, and be open to learning new things. If you ever feel like you know it all, that's when you start to stagnate.

10.) If you were free to emulate an artists style here on FA without being judged, who would it be and what is their style that is so attractive to you?
Oooh, that's a tough one. it'd be fun to play around into a more stylized way for a while, like Facerot or Skrimpf, or something crazy detailed like Dark Natasha or Goldenwolf.

11.) Look back at the artwork you've done over the years, is there a "phase" you went through that sticks out as being "weird" or interesting?
i went through a hardcore anime phase in my early years of drawing seriously. It's kind of embarrassing now XD i remember making the conscious decision to start drawing more animalistic heads (i seem to recall thinking 'like Jeremy Bernal' as opposed to 'like Dr Comet' - my artistic knowledge was limited at the time), that seems silly to me now. Like, why WOULDN'T i try to draw as realistically as possible? i often wonder how my style would have turned out if i had stuck with the humanish-faced anime-ish thing.

12.) Art college: Have you been to one and in your mind, was it worth the time and $$ in your opinion?
Never been. My understanding is that one can self-teach pretty much all the concepts one learns in art school - the biggest bonus of going is making connections in the art world. Since i'm not currently looking to work outside of furry except occasionally, i don't feel it's necessary.

13.) Do you feel artists should stick to one another and teach one another? or do you feel that artists are just in one big competition for customers?
Artists should definitely be a community. We can learn so much from each other. Plus, as battleferrets said, we get so much flak from non-artists thinking it's an 'easy' job, that we're art vending machines and so on, it's important to have each other's support.

14.) Do you feel the internet (and the possibility of digital art being stolen/reused/etc) more of a blessing (exposure) or a curse(competition)?
If competition is the biggest curse the internet has to offer, i'd say it's a great thing. Healthy, friendly competition can drive one to do better and work on their art more and more. The exposure is definitely a good thing too, being able to reach far more clients and fans than i'd ever be able to reach without the internet.

15.) If you suddenly woke up and had superman/woman's powers, (you wake up with the physique and everything) what would you do?
Pick up ixor and run around with her.

16.) If you could tell/give an young aspiring artist (maybe yourself when you were young) a "tool" that would boost their skill significantly going forward, what would it be?
Draw from life. Practice, practice, practice. Never give up and always be eager to learn. Try to avoid style-biting (copying other's styles; you also end up copying their mistakes), and focus on learning the fundamentals before you try anything stylized.

17.) This isn't "tagging people to make them do this" but if there was an artist here on FA that you'd REALLY love to hear their answers to these questions, who would it be? :) (Can be a few people if you like!)
Anybody that wants to do this, i'd love to see answers from everyone!
