i went through a lot in 2013. started out with a year filled with opportunity, getting my first sworn officer position, graduating a police academy, obtaining my dream and career job at the department i always dreamt of working at.

then when about half the year had gone by, i had lost so much within a short time frame. i lost my girlfriend, i failed field training as a police officer (the two of which were the hardest thing on me that i've ever experienced), and had to go crawling back to my old retail job, and it just was a spiral downturn from there.

then to top it off, near the end of the year, my favorite manager whom i’ve worked with for 5 years, whom ive never had a better supervisor, got fired, for a stupid, bullshit reason

with 2013 behind me, i hope that 2014 will be a better year, and filled with opportunity and improvement
