Welcome to the New Year by Liko

Hey I figured I'd give a bit of an update. First off, I was out of town for the past week visiting family in California. Sure sounds great, but when you're 23 and are doing nothing but going places with your family with a toddler in tow for a full week, it wears thin on your nerves. But I'm back.

2013 was pretty decent all-around. Despite some of the minor social problems that happened, I graduated and got a full-time job in the game industry, so I've got that going for me.

But hey, let's get to some New Year's Resolutions.

Previous years I haven't been doing much of anything for resolutions, usually just save money, eat well, and keep up some of my good habits in general. But here's an actual list this time, so check it:

  1. Strengthen upper body. Over the summer, let's just say every day was leg day with bicycling and whatnot. After trying to do chin-ups and carrying a bunch of alcohol in a box, I kinda realized how much I've neglected my upper body strength.

  2. Slow down my usage of Twitter. I'll put it bluntly, there's a good chance you don't give a shit about 80% of what I post on Twitter, maybe even more. That said, I took a hiatus at the end of last month, and I'm really just gonna slow down my usage. No more arguing, complaining, or mindless banter.

  3. Art more. Pretty much, every month, I'm going to try and do at least one piece of furry related artwork and at least one piece for my portfolio in addition to any level design work I do. I need to get my confidence up and I think if I give myself a month to do two things, I really don't have an excuse to not do it. I'll be posting all of which to Weasyl. Fur Affinity will strictly have just the furry stuff though.

  4. Be more brutally honest with people. I've already kinda begun this mostly as to not make myself look like a hypocrite. Gonna be honest, I really hate people who are passive aggressive and don't tell me what problems they have with me. So if I have a problem with you, I will tell you, and I urge you to do the same. The only thing worse than telling some one they're shitty and need to fix their problems is not telling them anything.

Welcome to the New Year
