I know everyone might be sick of these journals, but I think it's important to reflect on the last year, assess my last year's goals and set new goals for the new year!

This Year has been a really good year! We Graduated, Started AppleMonster Studios, We Sold a house, Bought a house, Finally got to Blizzcon and so much more! I've made lots of Friends and connections and even though this was my first year of my life(that I can really remember) that I haven't had school I've still been learning and researching tons of things on my own! I've also had a re affirmation of some goals I set a while ago that I had almost given up on. Many conversations with coworkers and Frostee about pursuing passions really got me fired up and I am going to work my hardest this next year to achieve them.

-Start up my Fursuit building Studio and start taking commissions.

-Win a prize in the costume contest at Blizzcon

^oh gosh, I had forgotten I wrote this as an actual resolution, but I did it!

-Make and stick to an exercise program. (I don't know where to start, I really want something to strengthen my core)

^failed, probably the most commonly failed resolution of all time. But I really need to try again this year, not having a huge campus to walk around... I've had a dramatic decrease of exercise this year and that came with weight gain, oh noes!

-Sell this house we're in right now

^done! I was worried needlessly, we had 6 offers in the three days it was on the market and ended up making enough profit on the house to pay off my student loans outright the month before it started to accrue interest! score!

-Decorate the new house in a way that is impressive and matches Frostee and I

^sorta done, we decorated the living room, but haven't really touched the kitchen and bedroom yet XD

-Double the money we have in the bank

-become a toucan owner. We want a Green Aracari (the smallest in the toucan family, BURD)

^This is a sad one, we did become a bird owner for a short time, but discovered that Frostee is allergic to birds, so we had to find our little green cheek conure bmo a new home TT~TT I've heard Toucans are Hypo hypoallergenic, but that's an expensive gamble (toucans run anywhere from $1,500-10,000) so this might not ever happen ;_;

-Be happier and more patient all the time and less stressed

^eh, I think I failed at this one, lots of events beyond my control really stressed me out, so it's something I still need to work on.

But Now onto my 2014 goals!

-update portfolio and demo reel and apply for my dream job

-Draw at least 10 pages in my sketchbook a week. (i'll have to work up to this, I started last week and did about 7 pages. and It won't be 7 pages in one day, that won't help, I'll spread it out over the week)

-do weekly/bi-weekly animation exersises. I'll do these on my surface pro on my train commute, they'll be simple animations, like ball bounce, flour sack, box pick up type things to really help me get a firm grasp of animation principles.

• Decorate our kitchen and bedroom (maybe we could do a little remodeling too c:)
  -Take the dogs on more walks
  -get back on my unicycle, a great way to exercise my core and help my back feel better
  
• win an even better prize at Blizzcon's costume contest. because why not? >:)
  -Really work on being less stressed and more patient
