I never knew such death before today. 12 is the cursed level. Three new recruits fell each last night, two at level 12, one at level 8. They stood no chance from my poor and careless decisions. One to a horde I mistaken tried to run from when they were still so young. One to another Furfrou critical hit, I'm seeing a pattern. And another to a critical quick attack. Rest in peace Pichu, Horsea, and Digguty. To my surprise, Scatterbug and Budew lived up to the cut. Budew is a little beast. We still have a ways to go to get to Ambrette town, but that is today's journey which will be edited in later.

I'm scared. It's time for the gym leader battle. We're all 25. Dratini died during training. Her replacement was Charmander. He's a Charmeleon now. This is the rock gym. Have mercy.

Making my way up the rock climb, I find myself facing only 2 of the lackeys, and after preparing through pokemon amie, I find myself at the top. I am scared beyond all reason. I don't want anyone to die. Seeing Grants Pokemon at level 25 I stuttered slightly. I had put Combusken out first, knowing it's fighting type would come in handy. Sure enough, Amura was first and with one fell swoop we crushed it. Tyrunt was next. Combusken smashed but only brought it halfway, still green. Rock tomb, dropping my speed lower than his. I smashed again, but stomp was quicker. Combusken took it and smashed for a victory. All that fear for nothing. No deaths this gym.
