Essentially the dealio with Skype is this:

Microsoft isn't going to allow third-party apps to access Skype through its SkypeKit API. Given that the official app is already getting infested with ads, I'm contemplating moving over to other platforms and not supporting Skype.

I know this would be a significant pain in the ass considering the majority of contacts I have are in fact on Skype, and I do admit that it is pretty useful for the most part, but for the last while it has kinda deteriorated into a clusterfuck of bad decisions after bad decisions, and then there's the whole privacy thing. Get this: I tried changing my icon on the Android app, and Skype wouldn't work anymore. |:

Anyways, the point is, if you guys have me already added on Skype, and want to talk to me elsewhere, I've got plenty of different clients that you can add me to!
