i think it's easier to handle a submission or two at a time to comment and talk about but the frank point is i comment (while frequently) on like 2-6 pictures every couple hours, so its not like im trying to force myself into activity. I just dont do somethin less the groove feels rite

i blame the fact ive followed so many people on fa i can always just zone out and click on new updates but im seeing weasyl just sort of diddle with people who treat it like a second thought

I'm inclined to agree with you there. While like I said most users seem to suffer from a since of Alzheimer's or some other change threatening illness that the thought of moving on to a clearly better website instills a level of fear in them you'd then they were in a battlefront. However, normally I go to FA just to clear out the litter box from time to time while saving maybe..... 4 images per day? Ah well. I suppose it's just a matter of time before FA craps itself into a coma again, and we begin this all over again.

If anything, the FA outage reminded me that I need to pay more attention to this wonderful place <3 -
There was a big shift when Weasyl first launched and FA was down. There was another big shift this last time. Let FA drop for a few days a couple of times again, and I suspect Weasyl will reach critical mass to a greater degree than it already has.
The thing is this: The Community has a lot of time and effort invested in FA. It's sort of like moving into a new apartment to come to Weasyl. Your friends aren't necessarily going to be down the hall where you knew they were, the mailboxes are in a different place, the pool's a different shape, the rubbish bins different...even if it's a nicer place, it's not familiar, it doesn't feel like home.
But when somebody keeps setting your current apartment on fire, well, it's time to start moving. And I think that's basically where we are. People have a lot of themselves invested in their presence on FA, and a lot invested in being able to connect on FA with the people they watch there. Weasyl does honestly provide better tools to be doing that, but it's going to take people finding a reason to move to Weasyl and then enough time after that to get used to the differences before it really gets a lot of uptake.
That being said, though, it can't happen soon enough.

see above; i like that im at the point of following enough people i can check my submissions every 5 minutes and find someone new, where weasyl i get very little life anywhere. and without people commenting, i cant jump from art to their galleries and follow new people. Essentially people just treat weasyl as a second thought, and why be active here ugh id rather just go back to the easy shit i already did over there thats so much better

My greatest problem with this site are that the thumbnails are cropped and not showing the full picture, like on FA, also that they are small. I might end up using E621 for finding stuff -.-
