Did you know you can choose what kinds of notifications you receive from those you follow on a per-account basis? In your settings, under People, click 'Followed users' (or go here: https://www.weasyl.com/manage/following), and under each user, click 'Edit Settings', and you'll be able to choose whether you want to see submissions, collections, characters, stream announcements, and journals from that user in your notifications.

You can control global defaults for all notifications from 'Site Preferences' under Preferences (or go here: https://www.weasyl.com/control/editpreferences)
