120 hours of fishing in the Bowl of Embers by DeRiften

It's done! After over 120 hours, I finally beat Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn's storyline. Whew, now I'm in the endgame and enjoying the break from all the fighting. I mean, before my days would consist of running all around the world killing stuff while being in queue for various dungeons, trials and guildhests, but now my days will usually consist of me standing in one spot fishing while in queue for hard mode bosses and a couple dungeons. There's a somewhat relaxing feel to it. I mean, I've always loved fishing in MMOs but at first I didn't like it in FF XIV.. but the more I fish, the more I like it; just like the game, I guess. At first I thought the game was decent but then the more I played it, the more I liked it. Though being in endgame also means that when my free trial runs out, I might not renew it because you can only fish & queue for so long before getting bored. I mean, I know there's new stuff coming out in mid-December so I might give it another month, but after that they better come out with new stuff more often than once every few months.

Oh well, even if I end up not paying for a subscription and passing on to another game, it was still an awesome journey and actually, I won that one contest on the Weasyl forums and one of the prize was a drawing of a character with a background so I'll dedicate it to my most triumphant moment in the game. I know it'll take a few weeks before all the prizes are done but I'm still pretty eager to see how it turns out :P
