I know there's very little chance that I'll win (the odds are already something like 1/2500 or so, probably higher), but I have to try. That money would mean I could get my MRIs.

While a wonderful person donated half of the money I need, I still need the other half before I can get the tests done.

The numbness in my hands is almost certainly due to nerve damage in my spine thanks to the bone spurs. It's been so long since I updated because, well...I spend a lot of time these days unable to type. I'm trying to take advantage of a good day today and get this update out for everyone.

I admit, I'm frightened. Even once this is diagnosed, there might be nothing that can be DONE about it. I don't want to lose the ability to even hold a PHONE or a pencil completely, but that's what I'm looking at.

The only bright spot is that once I get my MRIs, and the diagnosis is confirmed, it's almost guaranteed that I'll get disability. A person with no reliable grip in their hands can't work. Even if they ruled I could work through the debilitating pain before.

So my money problems will eventually be much easier, but until then...I'm kind of floating along in a state of constant frustration and growing desperation.

I'm staring the end of my art career in the face here...I really need some sort of help, and financial is all I can really ask for. Let me get this over with quickly, so I can devote whatever good days I have left to artwork and the things I love to do...before I lose those abilities completely.
