Because it gets pretty disappointing when people just want to talk about whether or not they like the thing I drew art for, and not the art itself.

It's pretty frustrating when you draw something and all you get is "that show sucks" or "Here's the breakdown of all this stuff on that thing because clearly you don't know anything about it". When your comment could be about anything related to the content the art was based off of, and has nothing to do with the art itself it's pretty damn annoying.

And this whole attitudes that it makes an artist conceited if they would actually like to hear something about the art that they put a lot of time in. Because it is so selfish to want some kind acknowledgement for your own time and effort.

It's one thing when someone says "I love that character, they look cool in your style". THAT actually acknowledges the artist, that actually addresses the ART.

I mean, shoot if I just wanted to talk about that show/character/thing I would just make a journal about it.

Yes, I know to a lot of people that makes me extremely petty. So be it.
