Tales of MMOs by DeRiften

Did you guys have a happy Halloween? I did absolutely nothing special; had planned to watch movies but since I don't have TV anymore I didn't really watch anything. Today and yesterday, though, is another story. A week without being able to watch anything equals an entire day of watching random stuff to make up for lost time the second the new month arrives xD. I didn't do one bit of gaming yesterday, instead I watched a ton of stuff in the morning and then I spent most of the day reading the Tales of Symphonia manga which I stumbled upon while looking for something to do. It was pretty good but the guy really, really, REALLY abridged it; I'm pretty sure they removed 80% of the game, which is surprising since the game barely lasts 40 hours if you do absolutely everything. After that, I figured I might as well start a new game of Tales of Symphonia so I undid all the knots my cables had spent months doing, wiped the dust off my Wii and plugged everything, but then I stumbled across a few problems. One of the lights on my sensor bar broke, the A button on my main Gamecube controller broke and the R button on my spare controller broke soooo... no Tales of Symphonia :c. So instead I spent the evening playing TTT as usual; I'm now a Regular on the server I play on :P.

As for today, I spent most of the day watching Swords Art Online. NOW that's a pretty dang awesome anime. It's about this virtual reality MMORPG in 2022 where on launching day, the 10 000 players realize they can't log out until they beat the game. The catch is that the game is extremely hard and when you die in it, you also die in real life. As you can guess, there's plenty of depression, denial, suicides and other psychological entertainments. After watching the first season, I felt like playing a fast-paced MMO myself so I reinstalled Rift. With all the things I did today and yesterday, I wouldn't be surprised if 20% of my bandwidth was gone already but hey, it's worth it!
