Demonic by Cathy

I open my eyes, and a bright light

Is absorbing me

I writhe myself in pain

My lungs feel dry and my body is unconscious

For a moment, I thought I was dead

Then suddenly I got lifted up

I couldn’t see who it was

I felt some cold hands; it was as if the dead carried me away

It dropped me off at the shore

I was confused and didn’t think clearly

Suddenly a shadow raised from the ocean

And welcomed me to the life between the world and hell

The shadow took me away to a dark place

A place that raged with war

It has been like this in for a thousand years

A war between lost souls and demons

Now I was in this war, fighting for the lost souls

All I heard and saw was screams and bloodthirsty demons

I looked over my shoulder

A demon was running straight to me

Filled with anger and rage

A sword was lying not far from me

I ran as fast as I could, took the sword and smashed it against the demon

Ashes filled the air; I could smell the demon, burning flesh

This has to be a dream

I fought in for a long time, it felt like forever

And it was going on and on constantly

My arms were weak, and my legs was failing me

I couldn’t hold on much longer

A demon saw I was weak it took the chance

Running straight to me and absorbed me

I woke up; the sun was shining through my window

I covered myself in fear

Fast I pulled the curtains

Was it all just a dream? Maybe

I noticed in the mirror

My left leg and face had marks

As i blink once more

to see the shadow run.
