Today also went well, despite my legs still hurting (why do I work out again?) and a few other things. Tried out new settings for today's stream because I still wasn't satisfied with the quality. I mean dammit I want 1080p and the day I manage to get it, I swear I'll stream freaking Pong but what I was using was 720HD. Well, I tweaked the settings and managed to get uhh... 900. Yeah, I don't know either. But as I was testing it, I found out my ISP isn't nearly good enough to even hope to begin streaming in 1080p. See, 1080p begins at 3,2mb/s (though the average is around 12mb/s, AKA true 1080p), but my max upload speed is 2mb/s (it used to be 4mb/s but apparently they decreased it without telling anyone, gotta love Quebec and Canada in general's ISP.. the worst in the world!). I mean I COULD record in true 1080p with fraps or something but it wouldn't be LIVE and besides, Procaster doesn't even support 1080p. With the max settings the best you can do is that weirdass 900. Looked around for a bit and apparently Twitch.TV supports 1080p if you pay for the premium service but since I don't like Twitch.TV, I'll stay with 720p. Yeah, 720p. Not 900. See, after testing it I watched part of the recording and it really DOES look better but it also doubles the weight, which makes it so I couldn't stream everyday. Heck, not nearly everyday. Thankfully there are much better ISP in Montreal (such as the best ISP in Quebec) so if they're cheap enough (or if I get in the Reussir program that gives a shitload of money), I might be able to get even better Internet (maybe even something without a bandwidth cap if I spend over 100$/month on Internet alone xD)!

Other than that, I completed another one of the campaigns in AoE II, only two more to go before I finally complete the game legit! I can't believe it, I've played the game for a decade but never once did I finish the game legit because I was such an impatient kid/teen and cheats were so much fun. I've gotta say that while the game is a classic and a must-play, the campaigns can be surprisingly challenging. Every new Age of game gets easier than the last and I've yet to finish the first one legit, either. But that's mostly because you can't play it anymore thanks to it having compatibility issues on anything newer than a XP so unless it also gets a HD remake someday, it'll be the one Age of game I never finish legit. Though I've not much to complain about since the first game, while having a nostalgic value, is extremely out-dated, what's with being a Windows 95 game and all. The AI is retarded (heck, even in AoE II HD the AI is sloppy but it'll apparently get much better once the new expansion comes out this month. AoE III also has retarded AI as in Standard difficulty is too easy but Moderate is too hard. Aaaaaand same deal with Age of Mythology. The Age of serie just isn't known for its good AI, the multiplayer is awesome though), the graphics are still enjoyable, the music is always awesome and the story enjoyable (even if it's way too hard) though some of the missions are broken. It also has plenty of neat scenarios and dammit.. I'm not making a convincing case since I just made myself want to play it again. There are flaws though (other than the retarded AI, that is). Outside of the campaigns, the random maps are way too short and the interface isn't nearly as good as the following games. The interface is really what breaks the game and they've been improving it each game. In the first game you had to count all of your units manually and if you wanted to know your current pop and pop limit, you had to select a house. There was no idle villager button (though they fan-patched this later), no idle military button, armies couldn't get in formation and they'd keep on bumping into eachother and breaking the pathfinding (which wasn't great to begin with. Another rampant issue in the Age of serie that somehow doesn't improve. That exclude Age of Mythology which is probably the game they put the most effort into. Ironically, it's not part of the main serie), and the multiplayer doesn't work anymore unless you play in LAN. Heck, even the non-HD AoE II and Age of Mythology don't have multiplayer anymore because their servers only support AoE III nowadays. Overall it's a fantastic yet fantastically clunky game that got lost in time and died of age along with many, many Windows 95/98 games.

Finally (since I'm getting tired and have been writing this journal for half an hour now), I'm single once again. Ends up she's a complete lunatic with multiple personality disorder who changes personalities every day. One day she's obsessed with me, the next day she hates me and litters me and my mom with insults and the day after that, she remembers none of it and acts like everything's fine while saying she has no feelings about anything whatsoever. Aaaaand then she snaps and it's nonsense gibberish time for days and it's literally impossible to figure out what's true and what's delirious bullshit in what she says. Oddly she wasn't like this before we got together. She was awesome to talk and play with and we were pretty much the same except for a few ying-yangish differences such as her being a console gamer and me a PC one, etc. I dunno, maybe she broke down from the stress of having someone in her life or something but what the hell man, even I can only handle so much crazy. I honestly liked her but still, I officially stomp the huge stamp of NOPE on her forehead and send her away. Heck, today she's been hounding me all day, spouting insults and compliments and contradictions and generally rapidly switching between personalities within minutes and it just keeps getting exponentially more insane every day. It sucks but what sucks even more is that I'll have to explain to my mom what happened and that's gonna be tricky.
