Grand Theft ASIO by DeRiften

Today I tried out a new audio driver for recording and it made the quality noticeably better, but just a few minutes ago I finally managed to make ASIO work on REAPER so tomorrow I'm expecting an even better quality. The best quality possible by software alone, in fact. If I want to make my recordings sound even better, I'd have to get a specialized soundcard and/or a USB studio since what I use right now are a USB adapter with phantom power and the basic soundcard that comes with all computers, which means I'm not using my mic to its fullest potential, which is also why people say my mic sound shitty when in fact, the only way to get a better mic would be to spend thousands. Heck, the Rolling Stones used a Behringer B-1 (the mic I have) for years.

ASIO has a major downside, though; it only emulates the capacities of a purely ASIO soundcard, which means it can only be used by one software at a time. Meaning I have to close Firefox and WMP before I open up REAPER, but it's not that big of a setback. If anything, I'll have to copy/paste the lyrics to wordpad instead of having 'em on Firefox.

Oh well, I played GTA IV till it crashed and deleted my save so screw that mess of a game. It's meant to be on console and the PC version is a horrible port with horrible controls and driving. And heck, apparently when it autosaves, it only saves your achievements so that's another major flaw. At least though, that's one less game on my to-play list :P
