I quit my job today due to being asked repeatedly to work in unsafe conditions.

File a complaint with OSHA, and inform them that you quit your job as a result of several safety violations. Contact the wage an hours board as well and tell them about the conditions and what is being asked of employees. Get on unemployment fast until you have a new job.

  OSHA - Refused to take a complaint, said that the job is unregulated.
  Wages Board - Case pending.
  Unemployment - Had to sue, but won. Got two months of it left.
  Still unemployed, but thank you. Everyone should do this, and I appreciate the luck.

    Nice, I'm glad that things looked up for you. I would also recommend contacting your state's congressmen and women about regulating the industry you just quit from. Provide evidence, and you'll push something into people's next campaigns for re-election. Right now is a perfect time to drop such tidbits to such officials.
