So I love NYC and some, not all but some people in the NYC Furs scene. Which is why I'm disappointed in this entire community that no one tried to start a furcon in or near NYC. "Oh it's too expensive/it's too much work" for the city that never sleeps you mo fos sure do sleep alot. We got Pittsburg and Chicago Rosemont driving us into the ground. I don't understand how one of the top 10 most popular cities in the United States couldn't be bothered to start it's own furcon. Yet PA has 3 maybe 4, and connecticut has 2.

And now New Jersey will soon to re-join the ranks after FurAffinity United died. Introducing Garden State Fur The Weekend. Happening May 3-5 2024 in New Brunswick NJ at Hyatt Regency. Tickets are currently on sale and rooms are still vastly available. So if you're in the New York, New Jersey Connecticut Pennsylvania area and/or looking for something fun to do one week b4 Fur Week Atlanta here ya go. This con is easily accessible thru bus and commuter rail NJTransit so I hope to see y'all there.

At least we got something local to look forward to, can't say the same for New York, not sure they deserve a con at this point since cons like AnthroCon are already 25 years deep. Should've joined the caravan when y'all had the chance... But ah well at least the Train can take you to NYC from the con and/or you can drive but that's 30min to an hour round trip gas and $28 tolls so your best bet is take the Train. So glad NJ is getting a con for the first time in 10 years and convenient too. See y'all next May
