Geez I'm not active here by OmegaDragotroid

I'm srsly not that active here. I blame being active most on FA. lol But, I just gotta journal about my lack of perpetuating hunger. o.o See, I started doing a paleo diet in an attempt to lose a bit of weight and just overall start eating better. The tl;dr version of the paleo diet is as follows: no processed foods, no beans, no grains, no dairy, and if you can't pick it up off the shelf (meats excluded) and eat it, it's probably not paleo friendly. The basis of this diet stems from what cavemen used to eat, and everyone knows they were hunters and gatherers.

Eggs, red meat, fish, poultry, and shellfish are all OK to eat sources of meats, and prepared right are very very tasty. :D This journal from FA gives you a much better run down of what is and isn't ok to eat on this diet, and I encourage you to scope out the other journals as well if you're interested. http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5053696/

But the reason I'm telling you this is because, ohmigawd. I'm not perpetually hungry and can actually go 4 hours between meals. o.o I used to only be able to make it 2 or 3 without getting a headache. Now, keep in mind that I've only been on this diet for a few days, so not all the junk in my system is worked out. I'm also not going strict paleo either, as I do like milk, sodas, and like having bread around for quick lunches to work. Other than that, though, I'm trying not to eat anything that doesn't abide by the rules of the diet, and it's forcing me to be quite creative with my meals to avoid boredom. Best part is, all my favorite foods (minus pasta ;_;) is in this diet, so it's not a huge change from my normal habits. That's what makes it all the better.

Great job, it's too bad more people dont' try to take better control of their eating habits.

I actually had some trouble with weight LOSS recently, and I've been finding that the Renegade Diet is really helping me out. It's a lot like the Paleo/Warrior diet, it seems. But it's more like, it mixes those same kind of "caveman diet" observations and blends them with highly up-to-date models of metabolism and nutrition. It's really interesting, though the book that describes it costs 30 bucks and ymmv.

It's got some really REALLY interesting things to say, though, and if you've already stepped into a paleo, then renegade may be a welcome source of information.

I may have to poke about the interwebs about it.

it's pretty much this one guy's plan, jason ferruggia. He himself is a bit ridiculous, but I really appreciate what he has to say about nutrition and digestive health as a lynch-pin health issue, the most impactful and central issue humans can deal with.
