The Topic of Syria by foxboyprower

So there's some serious stuff happening with Syria. Over a thousand civilians were killed by a poison gas attack.

I'm surprised there hasn't been much talk about it. What should be done is a matter of personal opinion and speculation. So I won't bring it up in this journal. But I compiled the best sources I could find to lay things out for everyone.

Truth is the first victim of war.

I don't know of the UN investigation's results yet, but the data on the perpetrators of the attack is inconclusive to the point that the "facts" from the White House which supposedly mark Assad's regime as perpetrator don't hold up to scrutiny, as we could fairly see when the British House of Commons rejected Cameron's proposal to join a new Coalition of The Willing.

And since Jeff Bennet is for some reason keen on feeding the White House false Intel to push the White House into war, and John Kerry keeps on lying fully aware that he's lying, as he continues what had started under Secretary Clinton in "Syrian Resistance" support, and a significant number of other people now put the need to save the President's face above everything, the credibility of "facts" on Syria provided by the White House and bellicist mass media is tanking.

British and French officials jumping on this train of "Assad's-dun-it" had previously spent their efforts on futilely convincing the EU to export their weapons to Syria because those profits could supposedly help them with their own raging debt crises.

And German Intel is just terrible ever since a fraudster informant of them dubbed "Curveball" provided significant fake Intel for the last Iraq War, and we all know how badly that ended.

Although, dressing up the daughter of Kuwait's ambassador as nurse and sending her in front of Congress to lie about Iraqi soldiers throwing babies out of incubators was also impressive.

I'm curious about the source of this information you're using. If anything it'll help me understand what train of thought and idea you're trying to convey.

(Here I must confess, that I had somehow mismemorised John Brennan as "Jeff Bennet" and was therefore surprised, that I was unable to find this RT article again, until I specifically searched for other articles by Ray McGovern)

.com and .org sites with a low WOT score...

Yeah I'm going to stick with my sources.

            Fair enough.

Is even truth-out.org among those with a low WOT score?

And, what does your acronym "MDT" stand for?

            • Link

WOT stands for Web of Trust. It's a browser addon that shows the trustworthiness of a website through a community of quality checkers. It's mostly used to give a big red warning sign for worst websites.

Here's an example of a website with a terrible WOT score. http://www.icrwhale.org/abouticr.html

For news websites, ratings often differ, so specific flags in feedback can be checked. Most of the websites you showed had "good" yet still had flags.

Example of news websites with very high WOT scores:

              http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world/

              http://wikileaks.org/

RT was by far the worst with multiple flags for a propaganda site.

Huffington post was second for the occasional sketchy story. Basically it's just okay, but wouldn't form strong support for a source.

The truth-out website didn't have many reviews for it at all. I guess it doesn't get much traffic.

That last one didn't have any reviews at all. I guess it gets very little traffic.

But the fundamental flaw of all the news articles you linked were that given with an angle trying to convey an opinion while a good news source like BBC or Wikileaks just say what happened with no additional commentary.

Most of the articles you linked boiled down to "The white house has not yet released the official intelligence report". Nothing more needs to be said about it.
