I got laid off. No, this isn't a repeat of a journal I might have posted late last year.

While my immediate supervisor believes the company made a grievous mistake in letting me go, it doesn't change the fact that, as of right now, I am unemployed due to circumstances beyond my control for the second time in less than six months. This sucks, to put it lightly. It's painful to be assured I've done my job exceptionally well, but I'm still not going to keep that job. Given the volatility in the job market, I'm honestly not sure what to expect for duration of my unemployment, either. Maybe it'll be just a couple weeks… maybe it'll be far longer. There's just no way of knowing.

In the meantime, I'll be focusing on story commissions and streaming as I look for a new job. I'm not going to open for new commissions quite yet, as I want to catch up on my backlog first, but expect me to open for full-length story commissions within the next few weeks. I also might open a Patreon or SubscribeStar page for anyone who'd like to support me, though I don't currently plan to put any of my work behind a paywall.
