Nelson Mandela's gallstone bandwidth by DeRiften

Just finished watching Invictus, Nelson Mandela is quite the inspiring guy; I need to read his biography someday. Though that's not the only reason why I wrote this journal. See, I got some bad news today. My mom got hospitalized 'cause she's got gallstones and jaundice (which is a peculiar symptom that means it's the worst kind of gallstones). They'll probably remove her gallbladder entirely, which would make it the second organ she gets removed this year alone after she got her uterus cancer. Last time, she had to rest at home for two months before she could work again (I spent these two months staying with her so she could rest properly), but this time she'd be on her ass till next year. Her job was supposed to end around October anyway so she's probably happy about it since she'll basically get a full-pay sickness vacation instead of the maximum unemployment benefits. On the downside, she was planning to come visit me in October so we could go visit apartments in Montreal and stuff. I'm not too worried though, the fact she has jaundice means she pretty much can't get any worse, plus the chance of getting side effects from the surgery is only 10% to 15% (though the side effects are pretty bad. I mean, persistent chest pain, cholesterol and chronic diarrhea?). Oh well, not much we can do about it; I've already told her to drink plenty of apple juice and my uncle's gonna keep me updated in case there's a change.

For now, I'll go sleep and wake up tomorrow to find 100% of my bandwidth waiting for me to fill it with new games.

    What a title!

My gallbladder has been gone for about a year. If it makes you feel better, I have very little symptoms after the fact so long as I eat healthy. :)

I've had chest pain before but it's specifically liver pain, probably just from eating oily food.

I hope your mom's surgery and recovery go smoothly!

    Enjoy your gaming tomorrow!

This month, I'm redownloading Skyrim and downloading GTA IV & Dungeon Siege 3, that should keep me busy for a while :P. And yeah, I know it's not a big surgery, but she has a gift for getting every single side effect possible from everything thanks to cancer permanently fucking up her immune system over a decade ago, so it can't be fun for her.

And yeah, my titles are a pretty interesting TL;DR xD
