Well, I was wrong about the repairs to my car costing $3500.00. I got a call from my mechanic and they said it wasn't the timing belt that had been my problem. They took the engine apart to replace the belt and found the old belt was fine. However, they have no idea as to what is wrong with the engine other than something in the bottom of the engine was trying to lock up. The only repair is to replace the engine. Total cost now is around $5500.00. Well, I'm glad that I haven't touched the bonus check I received last week. It's going to be two more weeks before I can get my car back but, it'll be worth the wait.
