The saddest movie I have ever seen by The Nose

A few days ago, since Halloween is coming up, I wanted to watch this horror movie I quickly got interested in to called 28 Days Later. It's about this guy named Jim who wakes up in a hospital in London, which is completely abandoned due to an epidemic causing people to go insane and kill each other, which caused a huge influence in zombie movies after this despite not being one itself. He meets up with several people, 2 of which stick to the very end of the film.

28 Days Later is without hesitation the saddest film I have ever seen, and the first movie that made me cry, but the funny thing is that I didn't cry during the movie, it was rewatching the saddest scene and listening to the soundtrack behind it (adding onto listening to the saddest song ever made "13 Angels Standing Guard 'round the Side of Your Bed" by A Silver Mt. Zion) that did it for me.

SPOILER ALERT (if you haven't seen it): What happened in the scene was that Jim and some of the others go to a junkyard where they were told via broadcast that there would be a cure for the disease going around, but there wasn't anything there. Frank, one of the characters of the film, gets pissed off, yells at the others, and leaves to find a place to calm down. He finds a crow eating a dead corpse, and he shoos it off, only for a drop of blood on the corpse to fall into his eye. The blood was infected, so Frank gave out his last words to his daughter, Hannah, before getting infected completely and getting shot by some soilders hiding in the background.

I don't know what it was that made it so depressing, but the ENTIRE film was that way, it just got worse when Frank died. It's a horror movie, yes, but instead of being heavily disturbed, I was heavily depressed. Thanks Searchlight Pictures! Would cry again! 😄
