Goodbye Sulley, 2008-2022 by GuineaPigDan

Our dog Sulley was not doing very well these past couple weeks, not eating as much or being energetic as he once was. Earlier this month the vet diagnosed him with liver cancer and unfortunately, chemotherapy would be too much on a dog his age. Sulley was a very loved member of our family, and sadly we have had him put to sleep so he would no longer suffer. It's very sad for me because Sulley was a reminder of our dog Speck, who we had put down back in 2011. Speck was like a big brother to Sulley, and after Speck was gone, Sulley became very lonely. Sulley filled in the big brother role when we got our next dog Scamp, and the two of them became very close. It's very hard for me to imagine Scamp without Sulley, since they've been together very long. Right as I was typing this, I could hear Scamp and another dog we adopted named Bella barking at noises they hear outside, but it doesn't feel right to not hear Sulley bark with them. The entire family is devastated, but at the same time I do feel relieved that Sulley is not in pain anymore. I filmed a few last videos with Sulley and Scamp beforehand, but I'm uncertain whether to post them or not. I want to give Sulley a send off in my videos, but I also want to try and remain respectful. The past couple weeks have been very stressful, and now it's finally over. I'm glad we had a happy 14 years with Sulley.
