Finished JoJo Part 3 + My Thoughts (Spoiler Free) by Aether Fox

I just finished JoJo Part 3! Three down, three more to go! All I have to say is that Stardust Crusaders was quite the ride! And it is definitely my favorite part yet!

I am really bad at summarizing stories, but I’ll try:
The story for part 3 revolves around Jotaro who just discovered a supernatural ability called a ‘stand’. And he wants to save his mother by traveling to Egypt to fight Dio Brando, an enemy of the Joestar bloodline who sends assassins after Jotaro.

I have a lot of thoughts and can write forever, but I'll focus on what sticks out to me the most which is the characters.

Personally, I love all the main characters. Although I find myself rooting for Polnareff the most.
To me, he is the most human of all the main characters. What I mean by that is that he is the most flawed, but learns from his mistakes and genuinely struggles internally. I also see the effort he puts into his growth and how he deals with his guilt.

It makes me wish Kakyoin had a similar treatment. Certainly not the same as Polnareff, but perhaps we can have Kakyoin’s backstory throughout Part 3. I feel this would make me even more invested him and would add extra emotional impact for when he fights Dio. One of my favorite stories with Kakyoin is the one with 'Death 13'. Kakyoin handles himself really well despite everyone thinking he’s crazy that episode. When he beats Death 13, the payoff at the very end is both satifying and hilarious. I won’t spoil it though. It’s that funny.

For the rest of the characters. Jotaro is exactly what I expect and does not disappoint. Abdul is one of my favorites for sure; I love his selflessness a lot even though it hurts. A lot. And I mean a lot. Joseph is definitely one of the funniest and the memes alone already make Part 3. As for Iggy, I don’t see him very often, but his character and development feels very believable.

And then there’s Dio. He’s a fun villain for sure! Although he barely has any screen time, I loved to hate him. His ruthless and dramatic character really made me root for the main cast in the final battle.

Any thoughts or questions you’d like to add? I’d be happy to answer.

Also, a question for Jojo fans. Should I watch Part 4 in ‘dub’ or ‘sub’?
