Commissions Reopening Soon! (Read for more info!)

Hello everyone! Commissions will be reopening again soon. Beforehand, I'd like to let everybody know of some upcoming changes to expect. This includes pricing changes, a policy change for my Terms of Service, and more.

After many months, I will soon be opening general commissions for the first time in a long while.

What a hectic number of months it's been since initially closing commissions ^^; I went from being on vacation to dealing with a family emergency to catching up on some long-term projects. At long last, I will be able to open my services once again. I hope you're all as excited as I am about this. To ensure everybody can see what's in store, this particular Patreon post is public so everybody can read it. Yay!

The biggest reason why I am ready to open up commissions now is the prospect of a housing opportunity. There's a good chance that I will finally be able to have an apartment unit of my own for the very first time. The process is still ongoing but things are looking good! If I am able to snag this apartment, this means my expenses will increase tenfold. I will have to do lots of furnishing and get house essentials. On top of that, my monthly expenses would increase as well with rent and all of that -w-; Needless to say, I'll need all the work I can get so I can ensure a happy home life.

With all that being said, I'd like to go over some things to expect once commissions have reopened! For the sake of organization, I will put each subject in sections.

Commission Pricing Increase:
Unfortunately, with the prospect of me getting a place of my own, this means that I will need to increase my commission prices. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Normally, I try to give clients the chance to commission me before price increases. However, I want to make sure that I am well-funded beforehand. Even if I don't get the apartment (I really hope I do!!!) I have a plan B just in case. Either way, I need to reopen commissions ASAP.

Once commissions reopen these pages will reflect the new pricing.)
I hope the new pricing is fair and not too much of a hefty increase. I still strive to keep my commissions at an affordable rate. This is just what needs to be done for the sake of my livelihood.

Brand New Trello Page:
I've created a brand new Trello page (https://trello.com/b/JMiZyHO6/ducky.....ion-work-queue) which serves as a place to let myself and others know my commission status, work queue, and slot availability. For example, if I have a commission I'm working on, I would jot it down as "1.) Shaded Commission - 2 characters" It'd be vague enough to keep the client anonymous while still being specific enough for me to know which commission it is exactly. Be sure to check it out! I hope it will serve both me and all of my clients!

Terms of Service (TOS) Policy Change:

Warning, the following section will briefly mention the subject of NSFW, though will not feature anything explicitly NSFW in nature. After this section, there will be no more mention of NSFW subjects.

Last year I made a big policy change within my Commission Terms of Service which included me refraining from taking on any work that included NSFW content, specifically nudity, pieces that feature sexually explicit content/acts, and fetish/kink work. I am still not allowing commissions that feature sexually explicit subject matter or fetish/kink work (the only exception to this rule is work that I do with a long-term business partner and good friend of mine. Ask for details.) HOWEVER, I have decided to reallow commissions that may include pin-up/semi-nude/artistic nudity (as long as the character(s) being depicted in the piece are 18+ years or older!)
This is a case-by-case scenario, so clients who are interested in these types of work will need to let me know what exactly they would need and I will let them know if I am comfortable accepting it. Something like characters in swimsuits on a beach or a model posing nude should be fine! However, something like two people doing sexual acts or artwork existing for the sake of feeding a fetish/kink will NOT be accepted. I hope this new policy change will allow a wider audience while still respecting my comfort zone when it comes to drawing certain subjects for people.

Miscellaneous Info:
Some last things I'd like to mention are just brief tidbits that may be good for people to know ahead of me reopening commissions! First off, I will be increasing the number of slots I'll take on at a time from 5 to 8! Enough to get more workflow while preventing myself from taking too much at a time. I also plan to promote my Patreon page shortly after announcing my reopened commissions. Finally, as a way to offer a cheap commission option, I will also be opening a Pay-What-You-Want (PWYW) type of deal for Ko-Fi. Donators will be eligible for a very rough sketch commission. The more you donate, the more detail/cleaned up the sketch will be! I'll be sure to announce that as well once I reopen general commissions.

I believe that's all that needs to be said. I am not set on the date for when I reopen but expect it to happen real soon! I'm ready to kick things up a notch and get my business out there. Getting a place of my own has been a longtime dream of mine. I want to make sure that if/when I get it, I can finally live in a happy and healthy home environment. It won't be cheap, so I'm going to work hard! Wish me luck on this journey.

I am also going to be opening brand new Pay-What-You-Want (PWYW) Ko-Fi commissions. The commission would be rough/simple sketch work. The more one donates, the more cleaned-up+detailed the piece will be.
